Watch: My Breast Cancer Story, Now on Video with HQIP

Earlier this month, HQIP shared my story as part of their Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. Today I am proud to say the video of our conversation is now live.

Watch my story

In it I talk about the years of misdiagnosis before I was finally diagnosed with myeloma at St George's, finding a breast lump during lockdown in 2020, and what I have learned along the way.

The person behind the numbers

HQIP works with data that shows the NHS what is working and what is not. As I say in the video, data is extremely important, but speaking to patients tells you something different. It tells you what it feels like. I want to be the person behind the numbers.

Early detection saves lives

The campaign message this year is simple: early detection saves lives. My breast cancer was found because I checked myself. Please check yours, and if something does not feel right, keep asking until you get answers.

If this story speaks to you, download our free Know Your Normal breast awareness guide, or get in touch to book a talk or workshop for your organisation.
