Cake, Community and a Cause Close to Our Hearts
Heartbreak to Hope and Eden Legal Consultancy hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning at True Vine Ministries, Lambeth, raising money for people living with cancer.
On Saturday 19th September 2026, True Vine Ministries in Lambeth hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, and Carol McDermott of Eden Legal Consultancy and I were invited along to speak. What a morning it was.
The gazebo went up early, the tables were dressed, and before long the cupcakes and homemade cake were out and the green bunting was flying. Neighbours, church family, friends and little ones came by for a cuppa, a slice and a proper chat. That's what these mornings are really about. Nobody should face cancer on their own, and a warm table full of people who care is a beautiful place to start.
Inside, Carol and I were invited to share a few words. I spoke about why this cause is so personal to me and to so many of us, and why support from people who truly understand can change everything.
Every cup and every slice helped raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping people living with cancer, and the people who love them, get the support they deserve.
A heartfelt thank you to True Vine Ministries for hosting such a beautiful morning and for inviting us to be part of it, and to everyone who baked, set up, served, donated or simply turned up. You made the morning.
